When i install a new map with the mod installer from the modshimiede site it always lags and jerks. However it manages to run the others perfectly. I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the other maps run smoothly? thx

I have the same problems, even with a high-end PC, but it is because the models, buildings and vehicles, are to detailed for the game. It wasent meant to have those high-detailed models from the beginning. Actually i dont know what the solution is, other than remove some of the models from the map. But roumors says that LS2009 will have lower requirements for the PC. Someting with the read-distanceof the map, so the models isent loaded when they are out of sight. _________________ 23 years, from Denmark.

Didn't you mention a patch coming out for LS-2008 somewhere in the new year to try and resolve these problems? The game loads and always has everything in it's memory at all times, it seems. There does need to be an adjustable clip-distance to limit how far everything is loaded into the distance so that the game can run smoothly on older PC's, but also look fantastic on high-end ones.
