The "Simulator" part of this game currently has me laughing. Simulators are supposed to be true to life. However, the field over the road has just been sown and I didn't see the wheat already growing after he'd done one headland route.
I'm having problems with changing the growth rates of crops. I've just cut a field of grass with the Cougar in the Grassmod. The field wasn't big and I finished in about 10 minutes so I went and hitched up the turner. I came back with the turner on my Case MX after 1 minute of driving off the field with the Cougar and what do I see? Fully grown grass all around the headland! I couldn't properly turn rake and collect the grass now that new fully grown 'miricle' grass had spouted 5 minutes after I cut it, so I ended up not saving and loosing a lot of work in the process.
I know that youe edit the grwoth value in the map file with notepad, which I did. I set it to 180000 with should have been 5 hours if I worked it out OK, since I heard that 3000 was 5 minutes. I probably didn't work it out correct but never mind. The value that is supposed to be there by default is 3000, but mine read:

Any help in sorting this mess out?

It's not really a bug, the crops growing back so fast is what the game is programmed to do. However I'm just having problems editing the file to change the growth time.

I dont know whats causing your crops to grow so fast. I have the same time for growing, and i takes about 4½ hours (real-time) to grow back. And mine say the same as yours:

The correct number is 3440000000. But if it were mSi would take 38 days (real-time) to grow back. That just dont seems right either.

It would be so much easier if crop growth ran in game-time instead of real time. That was it would be easier to adjust and you could set the game time to x64 if you wanted the growing period to go faster since there's not all that much to do while the crops are growing in this game.
I will try and play around with it and tell you what I get.

yes i do agree that the growth is stupidly fast so if i changed it it would be between 20mins - an hour. i will work on it tomorrow or saturday  _________________ join!> http://lsef.proboards.com/index.cgi<
